Organic Towel that Promises to Eliminate Frizz and Cut Your Dry Time

Image
When I heard about this 100% organic cotton towel that eliminates frizz and cuts drying time I just had to try it... I recently had the chance to try this Sunrise Bliss towel from Lakeshore Dry Goods. It's made of 100% organic cotton and the product supports 3 local businesses in Michigan. I am all about supporting local businesses. After all, my father is a small business owner and I believe supporting your local economy is important. Granted I live in Minnesota, but hey Michigan is still considered the Midwest!  So let's get down to the product. This towel is AMAZING! At first I thought there is no possible way this towel could dry my long thick hair (my hair goes down to my waist) but it does! It eliminates frizz and cuts my drying time in half, and the best part is the actual towel dries fast as well.  The prints are adorable, who doesn't love this cheery orange and green pear print. So pick yours up today. Make sure you get one for the beach, pool, and gym

Last Chance to Try Products from Bonjoy Box

I wrote this post back in the Summer of 2016. I just recently heard that this company is closing 😞 The good news is there is still some time to snag some clearnace deals before the close up shop. Check them out now here  http://www.bonjoybox.com/ While you are here take a read through my interview here:  I recently came across an amazing new monthly subscription box service.  BonJoy offers a monthly subscription of curated products that are made in a sustainable and conscious way. They work with some fantastic companies that are doing the good. I had a chance to speak with one of the founders Julie Overby to learn a little more about the company and how BonJoy got started. Julie, tell me a little about yourself, professional background, and interests. I started off my resume after college at Rue La La -- a dream job (high-style flash sales, a hot concept at the time). I moved to another startup after and transitioned to freelance creative work after getting married and s

What is the True Cost of Fashion?

Image
The True Cost is a documentary about the clothes we wear, the people that make them, and the impact that the industry is having on the world that we live in. Have you ever wondered why clothing actually costs less then it did 20 years ago? How can we go to to the $2 tank top sale at Old Navy every summer, how does H&M offer bikini  top for just $4.99? I know many consumer just consider it a great deal and now skip the thrift stores or the garage sales, but  what is the True Cost of fast fashion? Watch this documentary and find out! If haven’t viewed this film and you work in the fashion industry, or you teach fashion related courses this is a  must  see!  Of course any consumer would benefit from message this documentary has, because let’s face it we all wear clothes. The True Cost   moved me to  dig deeper into eco friendly and fair trade fashion and sustainable business practices, I think it may pick your interest as well. Afterall you found this blog because you are inter
